SRI Post-Graduate
Research Fellowship
The
annual SRI Research Fellowship is awarded to
attract senior researchers to assist SRI in
our research programs into the field of Yoga, to develop better
understanding of its many practices and technique variations plus explore
clinical implications for improving
physical
and mental health, healthy lifestyle, mental and spiritual development.
Terms and
conditions
You must
be an Australian citizen residing in Australia or be a permanent Australian
resident to apply.
The
Fellowship is considered part-time and will be project-based, applied towards
SRI research in an area of yoga that satisfies SRI’s aim of
exploring and better understanding the science of yoga and clinical implications
for physical and mental health; healthy lifestyle and disease prevention or
treatment.
Fellowship
applications are considered annually
The dollar amount
awarded to the successful applicant/s each year is currently $5,000, usually
payable in two installments, to help cover any transport and other costs of the
SRI Research Fellowship program. Furthermore, the Fellowship covers the full
value of all accommodation and meals etc. (to an approximate extra value of
$3,500) at the Satyananda Yoga Academy (SYA) at Mangrove Mountain in NSW during
any research and subsequent reporting programs.
The
Fellowship may be held concurrently with any other
award or scholarship.
Successful
and unsuccessful applicants may reapply in subsequent years.
