SRI Yoga-Research Grants
The annual SRI Yoga-Research grants are awarded to
encourage human research into the field of
Yoga, to develop understanding of its practices and its implications for
physical and mental health,
healthy lifestyle, mental and spiritual development.
Terms and
conditions
You must be an
Australian citizen residing in Australia or be a permanent Australian resident to apply.
All yoga traditions are
eligible to apply.
The grant must be applied
towards research in an area of yoga that would satisfy SRI’s aim of
exploring and better understanding practices in the science
of yoga and their implications for physical and mental health; healthy lifestyle
and disease prevention or treatment.
The award is made available annually.
The
amount available has recently been increased to up to a maximum of $3,000, usually payable in two equal installments over
a year.
The award may be held
concurrently with any other award or
scholarship.
Successful and unsuccessful applicants may apply in subsequent years.
