Chi Gong & Taoist Meditation
Chi Gong
literally means “energy work” or “breath
work”. It assists in healing the body and
mind by clearing blockages and restoring
healthy energy. The Willow Tree School
focusses on Zhan Zhuang (Standing like a
Tree) practice, 8 brocades exercise and
various forms of medical Chi Gong. Taoist
meditation is a non-religious, philosophical
approach to health and inner peace,
utilising the principles of Lao Tzu’s Tao
Teh Ching. Unlike other forms of meditation,
we practice not only sitting but also moving
and standing meditation in conjunction with
the theory and practice of energy
development and health maintenance.

Seminars
NEW
Meditation seminars have been introduced:
Private clinical sessions are now available

Meditation is a powerful tool. As the mind
quiets down, our spirits are revived and we
feel more in control of our lives.
Meditation can be applied to every aspect of
your life. Australian psychiatrist Dr
Ainslie Meares found a significant reduction
of stress and discomfort in his cancer
patients from using simple meditation
techniques. Many doctors now suggest that
their patients meditate as a regular
component of their health management
program. Heart disease, cancer, AIDS and
immune disorders, all show clinical
improvement from meditation practice.
Regular practice of meditation has been
shown to enhance immune function.
Research shows meditation has many benefits
such as:
* slowing down the aging process
* alleviating pain
* improving sleep
* lowering serum cholesterol level
* reducing bacteria levels in saliva thereby
fewer cavities
* increasing blood flow to brain making us
smarter
* better memory
